This is the time of the year we remember God's blessings on America that includes freedom and liberty. More than just parades, cook outs, parties, decorations, and celebrations, the Bible reminds us of the spiritual freedom God offers all who come to Him in repentance and faith.
The freedom we have in Christ is the freedom to live in faith, to put all our hope and trust in Christ, through which God welcomes us into His Kingdom. We are delivered from the bondage of sin and its punishment and have new life in Christ that comes only through repentance of sin and trusting Christ's atoning death on the cross and resurrection from the dead. According to Galatians 5:1:
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
